Leave the Bandage On
Keep the bandage on your tattoo for 30 minutes to 2 hours after your session. This protects your fresh tattoo from bacteria and prevents bleeding.
Remove the Bandage and Clean the Area
After removing the bandage, gently wash the tattooed area by hand using lukewarm water and unscented anti-bacterial soap. Avoid using a washcloth or sponge to prevent irritation.
Let the Tattoo Air Dry
Allow the tattoo to air dry naturally. Do not use a towel or tissue, as these can harbor bacteria.
Regular Cleaning
For the first two days, wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day with the same gentle technique. Be mindful of the clothing your tattoo comes into contact with; loose-fitting clothing is recommended to avoid irritation.
Moisturizing After Two Days
Starting on day three, wash the tattoo once a day and apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free, sensitive-skin lotion several times a day. Remember, less is more—over-moisturizing can hinder the healing process.
Do Not Pick at the Scabs
Continue this routine for two weeks, and avoid picking at any scabs that form. Picking can cause scarring and color loss.
